The CGTET (Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test) is an annual exam conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB). The CGPEB conducts this exam to determine the eligibility of candidates. This exam is for candidates who wish to serve as teachers in government schools in Chhattisgarh.

The CGTET exam is divided into two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. This first paper is for those candidates who wish to teach from classes I to V. On the other hand, the second paper allows candidates to become eligible to teach from classes VI to VIII.
