Heino HOK: The Most Versatile and Overpowered Hero in Honor of Kings
In the vast selection of heroes available in Honor of Kings (HOK), Heino stands out as one of the most flexible and powerful heroes to use. He is renowned as one of the best Mage heroes, capable of excelling in multiple roles.
Versatility Across Roles
Heino’s main strength lies in his unparalleled versatility. He can be played effectively in various roles such as jungler, middle lane, clash lane, tank, and support. This flexibility allows teams to experiment with different strategies and gameplay styles.
Tank and Support Prowess
Though not commonly seen, Heino can be a formidable tank or support (roam). His high survivability makes him an excellent frontline defender for his team. The combination of his skills, which provide HP regen, shields, and teleportation, make him exceptionally difficult to kill. This is especially true when building tank items, making him viable even as a tank jungler.
Consistent Damage Output
Despite equipping numerous defensive items as a tank or support, Heino can still deliver consistent damage output to enemies. This dual capability makes him a significant threat on the battlefield, as he can withstand attacks while dealing substantial damage.
Effective Crowd Control
Another notable advantage of Heino is his array of crowd control skills. These abilities are invaluable during teamfights, as they can immobilize enemies and create opportunities for his teammates to launch effective attacks.
Unique Skill Set
Heino’s skill set includes:
Fate’s Guidance (Passive Skill, Damage): Heino has two attack modes, range and melee. Range attacks deal magic damage, while melee attacks deal physical damage. His melee attacks also affect all nearby enemy units with a small AoE.
Scepter of Fate (Skill 1, Damage and Crowd Control): In range mode, Heino throws a spear that deals magic damage and marks enemies. In melee mode, he throws his Blade of Fate, which returns like a boomerang and deals physical damage. Melee attacks also slow enemies and regenerate Heino’s HP if the enemy is marked.
Leap of Fate (Skill 2, Dash): Heino dashes to a target location, leaving a marker. If an enemy is at the end of the dash, Heino enters melee mode, regenerates HP, and increases max HP, physical defense, and magical defense.
Fate Rewind (Ultimate, Damage and Crowd Control): Heino teleports to the marker left by his dash, gaining damage reduction, heal, and brief immunity. His HP and Mana return to their states when the marker was placed. This skill can also restore a team’s Tower to its condition 5 seconds prior, even if destroyed.
