Supreme Court Quashes Wife's 498a IPC Case Against In-Laws Filed To Pressure Husband For Divorce || Sharks of Law
In a landmark ruling, the Supreme Court appended the matter of cruelty lodged, at the instance of a female against in-laws, and observed that the said proceedings relating to domestic violence were initiated with ulterior motives of compelling the man to accept a divorce in terms of domestic dispute as stated by the complainant (wife), in furtherance to which she wielded the proceedings as a weapon in personal discord between the couple.
