The new executive economy seats is a fusion between Biz and Economy,LCD screens are clear( I watched 4 films from Asia to LA).The food is good , and comes with a selection from Asian and Western menus(Vegetarian too). I like the pantry at the back of the plane for you to stretch and grab snacks like fruit or muesli. Its a nice touch for insomniacs like me. Free flow alcohol too by the way but dont get too tanked up on the plane!

Of course the famous Singapore girls are professional, pretty (well mainly pretty) immune to pick ups but do get your orange juice in a jiffy.

UPDATE
Flew the layover flight LAX-Taipei-SIN
and the 777s have a different config - no emergency seats and its not exec economy but it was 400$ cheaper!
I enjoyed the Asian food better and I like the soyabean milk on board. Inflight service was up to its usual standards"
