I can honestly say I had a great experience renting with Avis here at Hobby airport. It was easy and convenient. I landed at 5am on Friday and was in my rental car by 6:30am with no issues. The car I had was practically new with only 6,400 miles on it. It was great on gas. It got me from point A to B. I brought it back on the same amount of gas they gave me. The credit card hold has been released back to my credit card.
I had prepaid for my car to save a little bit. I think that's the best way to go nowadays.
