Flickering in Jeep headlights, tail lights, or DRLs is almost always a can bus compatibility or grounding issue. For non-turn signal lights, the fix is typically a CAN Bus decoder or anti-flicker module. These small electronic devices are wired in-line with the LED and present a simulated resistive load to the vehicle’s computer, tricking it into seeing the expected current draw of a halogen bulb. For error codes, especially common with LED tail lights or front turn signals, a vehicle-specific LED adapter harness is often the cleanest solution. These plug into the factory socket between the Jeep’s wiring and the new light, containing the necessary resistors and circuitry to eliminate the error without requiring you to splice wires. Always ensure all connections, especially grounds, are clean, tight, and made to bare metal, as a poor ground can create resistance that the system misinterprets.
