Most boat owners have a moment, usually sometime in early spring, where they pull the cover off and find something they didn’t leave there. A patch of green mildew along the gunwale. Faded gelcoat where the sun hit the same spot all winter. A canvas cover that’s cracked along the fold lines from months of sitting taut in the cold. None of it is catastrophic on its own. But it adds up, and it’s almost entirely avoidable.
