Reading this made me laugh. After sitting on one of their planes for about 2 hours (literally), we finally took off for Amsterdam. I won't hold that against them completely.

Mostly comfortable, although I noticed some of the Dutch flight attendants hooking up (extra smiles and booze) for many of their countrymen on the plane which in theory is cool, but kind of sucks when you're not Dutch (like me). Minus points for the lack of personal on demand TVs which are available in economy class of many other international airlines, including their partner, Kenya Airways. Being able to pick which movie you want to watch really helps the time fly.

The food was kind of bad except for my return flight where oddly enough we were treated to seafood risotto (!?!?!) which I can now say, was actually the one and only dish of delicious airline food I've tasted. I will give this airline props for having interesting snacks (ice cream, anyone?) although I could've dealt with having them come more frequently, I mean it is a 10 hour flight to Amsterdam. Even though it is Holland, I'm guessing it is too much to ask that they carry some other beer than just Heineken.

Overall I think I'll probably look to another carrier for my next transoceanic flight as spending 10+ hours on a plane seems to get more brutal each time. KLM is good in general, but unless they have a pretty good rate next time I'm flying to Europe, I'll probably look somewhere else."
