Start by parking on level ground and disconnecting the negative battery terminal. The fog lights mount into the lower valance—the plastic piece directly below the front bumper. On most 2000 Sierras, the valance has pre-marked or pre-cut knockouts for fog lights. If your valance is solid, use a sharp utility knife or a Dremel tool to carefully cut out the openings, following the molded guide lines. Once the openings are ready, insert each fog light housing from the front and secure it using the factory-style brackets and screws from behind. Ensure the lights sit flush and are aimed slightly downward to avoid blinding oncoming drivers.
