Adding fog lights while leaving the headlights in poor condition is like buying new glasses but keeping a dirty prescription lens. For the best results, restore or replace your headlight assemblies first. A properly functioning headlight system produces a wide, even beam pattern; the fog lights then supplement that pattern by casting a low, wide beam directly in front of the vehicle, cutting under fog, rain, or snow without reflecting glare back into your eyes. Without clear headlights, even premium fog lights cannot compensate for inadequate overall illumination.
