Open spaces define Samburu safaris more than anywhere else. Animals exist, but silence hits harder at first. Instead of gentle slopes, flat lands spread beneath clouds on the move. After the rain ends, green growth appears quickly and almost suddenly. Uncommon species appear where few travelers go. Empty air fills each minute, like time forgot to rush. Before even a leaf stirs, quiet has already taken hold. The wind carries nothing loud, no echo of streets or engines. Wonder slips through the woods where messages should be. Certainty thins once the trail turns blind behind a ridge.
