The 3PE coated pipe is widely used in many kinds of applications such as oil & gas, water transmission, heat transmission, mining, fire-fighting, thermal power station, electric power, communication facilities, highway, chemical pharmaceutical, printing and dyeing, and agricultural applications.
The 3PE Coated steel pipe has 3-layer coatings:
1. Epoxy primer coating.The first layer with epoxy powder (FBE> 100um). Directly coated at the pipe surface. Ensure the overall coating has good adhesion at higher temperatures.
2 . Copolymer adhesive. Main component for this layer is a polyolefin. The thickness of the adhesive ranges from 170um to 250um.To make sure the top anti-corrosion coating is adhesive at the primer coating and also on the pipe surface.
3 . Anti-corrosion Coating (PE layer). The top layer is extruded polyethylene; the thickness of this layer is from 2.5 mm to 3.7 mm. It is polyethylene, which has advantages in anti-water, electrical resistance, and anti-mechanical damage. It is a very important layer.
