Why do YOU walk? Every step we take is powered by a story, and your story might be the one that inspires the next person to join our community. The Buddy Walk® was created by the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month and promote inclusion and acceptance. Since 1995, it has grown to more than 275 walks nationwide, bringing together over 330,000 walkers and raising $14.4 million for advocacy. Here in Northeast Ohio, the Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio (DSANEO) supports more than 1,100 families by providing resources, education, and advocacy throughout our community. Together, we’re working toward a world where individuals with Down syndrome have limitless opportunities to pursue their dreams. Share what motivates you to walk and be part of the movement.
