Russia Hits Indian Billionaire’s Factory in Ukraine as War Escalates

One of the world’s largest steel plants run by Indian tycoon Lakshmi Mittal’s company ArcelorMittal was struck by missiles fired by Russia on Sunday, August 16, which killed two people and injured another 14. The attack took place at the ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih plant located in central Ukraine. The facility is one of Ukraine’s biggest industrial companies as well as the largest steel producer in Ukraine. In addition, the energy and blast furnace operations sustained damage, and the production operations had to be partially suspended.
