Child Advocacy Network of Disabilitiy Organizations: Community Challenge

CAN DO is organizing a Community Challenge, from 4 to 10 May 2014, to raise funds for children with disabilities. Purpose of CAN DO's Community Challenge is to raise funds to make a difference for children with disabilities. What is CAN DO? CAN DO is a network established by ARC to promote and protect the rights and wellbeing of children with disabilities. Members of CAN DO include Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC), Association for Disability and Development (ADD), Beautiful Eyes Down Syndrome Association, Blind and Visually Impaired Association, Care Society, Maldives Autism Association (MAA), Maldives Deaf Association (MDA) and Maldives Association for Physical Disables (MAPD). Where will the funds go? Funds obtained through this community challenge will go towards raising awareness, including TV/radio clips, awareness sessions, disability related trainings, as well as brochures, flyers and posters. Who and how can you participate? Civil servants, business enterprises, civil society organizations, families, friends and individuals can organize different activities to raise funds - an A-Z list of fundraising ideas can be found on this page. When and where can I hand over donations? Donations could be handed to ARC Office, from 14.00 hrs to 16.00 hrs on week days and 16.00 hrs to 18.00 hrs on weekends.
