The New York Power Authority (NYPA) is the nation's largest state power organization, serving government, not-for-profit, and business customers.
Established by Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1931, NYPA generates some of the lowest-cost electricity in North America. NYPA supports economic development, while promoting innovative energy efficiency technologies, and developing new sources for renewable energy, such as wind, solar, and hydro power.
