A facebook site dedicated to the annual joint UWGB and SNC tropical ecology field studies course and related activities, in Panama.
The Panama Tropical Field Studies experiences are under the auspices of The Cofrin Biodiversity Center at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay (UWGB) and subsidized by the 1923 Fund set up by Dr. David A Cofrin, a long time benefactor of UWGB and St. Norbert College. It realizes the intentions of Dr. Confrin to provide opportunities for students and faculty of both institutions to engage collaboratively in meaningful field studies in the neotropical ecosystems of Panama at the facilities of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. The connection with STRI was possible because of Dr. Cofrin's generous benefaction of STRI as well. Every year, groups of students and faculty from UWGB and SNC travel together to STRI field stations in Panama and experience first hand life as field researchers in the tropics.
