A 2-credit summer field course introducing two of the most species rich ecosystems on the planet, the neo-tropical rainforest and coral reef in Belize.
Dr. Lori LaPlante and Dr. Eric Berry will take you to the rainforest and coral reefs of Belize. There, you will learn and observe the natural history of tropical biota, patterns of species diversity, rainforest ecology and conservation, fish behavior, and coral reef ecology.
Students of any major may apply as long as he/she has had two semesters of college-level science. The course is 3 credits and counts as a non-lab course for Biology majors or as general elective (for other majors).
