Wollongong Small Business Club
The Wollongong Small Business Club (WSBC) is a monthly business networking event aimed at assisting small business operators in developing their business skills and in keeping up to date with issues affecting small business. The club is hosted and facilitated by RDA Illawarra and Illawarra ITeC. In addition to presentations from qualified guest speakers, the club provides opportunities for small businesses to promote and market their own products and services.
To date, the RDA Illawarra and Illawarra ITeC have hosted and facilitated over 70 Small Business Club meetings.
The Wollongong Small Business Club has one of the Illawarra’s largest small business databases consisting of over 500 small businesses. Information about the Small Business Club and its major sponsors is promoted through this extensive database.
Each Small Business Club event attracts an average of 60-100 members of the small business community with attendees ranging from sole owner operators to medium and larger size businesses and franchisees. The membership base consists of a vast range of small business sectors and a major part of the WSBC’s success is attributed to the fact that it is open to small business operators of every description.
A major draw card of the Club is a prominent and reputable guest speaker at each meeting who has the knowledge and experience to impart valuable business growth strategies and information to members. To date WSBC has been privileged enough to host presentations from highly regarded speakers such as Justin Herald, Andrew Morello, Jacqui Curren, Linda Hailey, Robyn Henderson, Paul McCarthy, Donna Hansen and Tony Gattari. All of these speakers are published authors and have had international experience in marketing and small business growth.
