With over 80 years of experience, the School of Psychology & Clinical Language Sciences is a world leader in teaching, research and training. The international research standing of the School is based on a world class contribution to psychology, language sciences and neuroscience. The School comprises of the Department of Psychology, the Department of Clinical Language Sciences, the Centre for Neuroscience and Neurodynamics, and the Charlie Waller Institute for Evidence-based treatments. We also play a leading role in the newly established Centre for Literacy and Multilingualism. We are housed in a purpose-built facility which includes a Siemens 3T whole-body MRI scanner, EEG and TMS laboratories, social observation suites, computing facilities and, uniquely within the UK, dedicated speech, memory, anxiety & depression NHS research clinics.
