vlog: morning skincare + Jaclyn Cosmetics skin tint + concealer HONEST REVIEW on DRY SKIN

Welcome to my channel. I thought i would do a little vlog today got my coffee. Kids are all fed, let them play outside todays, one of those warmer days and my warmer i mean like 30 mid 30s, but i figured i would try the new jaclyn hill cosmetics, the skin tint that came in yesterday and the concealer. I did already try both of them, so i do have some thoughts and i found a way for it to make the concealer work for my dry skin. So i thought i would share, but first and foremost i feel like skincare is very important. I mentioned this in a previous video i always like to take care of my skin. I dont always use masks honestly, i havent used this mask ill. Probably do it like once or twice a month im not gon na lie. I kind of use it mostly just for fun kind of a little spa day at home. This one is from earth harbor. Sorry, the sun is shining at a certain angle right now, so everything is like super bright. This is the cacao. Cove detoxifying indulgence mask and it has. It is like a dry powder of source and you
mix it in a bowl with a little bit of water to create a paste and then apply it wherever you need it. I waited a little bit too long. You should definitely take it off when its like almost dry, otherwise, i feel like it could be abrasive and probably cause more irritation more than anything, but by the time i got everything situated, but i do love this mask because it smells heavenly.

It smells like chocolate like once you mix it with water. It smells like chocolate smells so good. So let me wash this off. All right face. Is nice and clean and now im going to go in with my serums, its still like a little bit damp and i usually use a serum from nateria, but today, im going to whip out some oldie but goodies from the glow me up from may love and Its this glow maker serum right here, which is a good dupe for the skin suitable ce ferrulic acid, even has that very similar. I dont know people call it like hot dog water smell. I dont get that from this. I dont know what it is, but i think its such a good serum, very similar formulation from what ive heard and just because i have uce for roolick. It definitely gives me the same vibes in terms of formula and smell, and then i also have a hyaluronic acid and niacinamide im going to use hyaluronic acid serum first. I dont know who i was watching or where i read that they said its best to use. Hyaluronic acid, if youre going to use the hyaluronic acid
serum to use it first, i could totally be wrong because again anything that you watch on youtube, especially when it comes to skin care, because its so personalized dont just go by what the person is saying. For example, whatever it is im saying you know: do your own research go to the experts, but i do remember reading that somewhere.

So i dont know how true that is, but im just going to go ahead and apply it first and then im going to go in with my vitamin c serum and finishing with the niacinamide serum i love. This trio depends on what your skin care wants and needs. You know youre going to choose different different products, and things like that, so these are ingredients that i particularly look for for my skin type and for my concerns you might be looking for something different, but these three i have used in the past and i think They might sell them in a bundle, ill link them down below. If yes ֠and i just think, theyre really good serum and last i just use a moisturizer. I have one from naturium that i love. I think its really great, i dont, think moisturizers need to be expensive. I feel like even brands like um. What is it instead of cetaphil cerave is a pronounced sarabe cetaphil cerave, like those drugstore brands, i do feel like they have great unscented moisturizers. I have been using this one and i really like it because
it works so well under makeup and especially for my dry skin. It really hydrates and it gives me prolonged hydration and it also acts as a primary one. So if i am going to wear makeup, i like this one, it has like a very cool souffle type texture. I have mentioned it in a previous video, its like this, pretty blue color with a souffle type texture.

The only thing i will say is that i dont like that they added scent to it. So if your skin is sensitive to scent, then you know thats going to be a big. No! No. I love the formula of this because its literally weightless its called the weightless water cream, its weightless sinks into the skin, while still offering a ton of hydration, and then it has. This really cool like priming aspect to it. That, like makes makeup just sit so well on top, i dont know what it is ive been using it for over a week now, and i just think it works great under makeup. I just really wish they didnt add the scent to it, considering they are a clean, fresh line so ill link this down below give it a try. It is available on look fantastic as well as other websites. is like a thicker, much thicker, this ones very weightless, this ones very thick and hydrating, and i have one for oily skin kind of helps. Mattify. I havent used this one yet, but i do want to give it a try and then last but not least, cannot forget your sunscreen.

I love this one from elsa md. I do want to try the one from supergoop. My friend uses it and she loves it, and i just read such great things about it. So i do want to try that one next, but this one has like a bit of a tip to it and it just adds a slight tint of color. Its kind of hard to this, i should have not picked up the camera, but im going to go ahead and apply this into the skin and then ill meet you guys over there at the desk, where i usually do my makeup and try out some new beauty Products, but i just wanted to kind of share my skincare before i got started you do feel like skincare, is important, especially if you want your makeup to sit really nicely on your skin. Look at that glow getting straight into the makeup these came in yesterday. I tried them as soon as they came in love the packaging. I feel like this looks like a really luxurious. I mean it definitely fits like the bougie vibes that i have going on here, but it feels like a really luxurious, almost like a skincare type bottle. I think
she did such a good job with the packaging, its different from other formulas that ive tried when it comes to skin tints, usually when you think of skin tint, you think of like something thats like more watery and serum based.

This is a formula which ill show you guys a little bit. It doesnt like drip kind of like stays in place, so its like a thicker formula and it offers pretty decent coverage while still being a skin tint. So i think she did a great job with this formula. I really like it. I have mine in the color medium and then, as for the concealer, this stuff is thick like the first time i tried it. It was just like a cakey hot mess, because i applied way too much so i have dry skin. I was talking to my sister in law the other day, and she finds this to be amazing on her skin because she has different type skin than i do and for her. So if you have a normal combination, type skin, maybe even oily im, not sure i cant speak for skin types other than my own. Youll ֠probably love this, because it just its like a thicker formula insane coverage, i mean insane coverage. I feel like its a hybrid between the e cosmetic cosmetics, bye, bye under eye and the tarte shape tape or the elf camo uh concealer. I feel like its a good nice
hybrid between those two. The formula is really thick, probably the most coverage concealer. I have ever used, but if you have dry skin, i will say be wary because you can hate it, but i feel like you can still make it work.

So what i have noticed ill actually insert a picture of what the concealer looks like. If you apply it too much all at once, it kind of breaks up gives you that cakey look and no matter how hard i tried. I just couldnt make it work, so my advice is to use a little bit at a time, and if you need to kinda, i mean a little bit. A little bit goes a long way like this is insane coverage, and if you need to build it up, do not like smack on a lot at once and also it is a very, very fast drying formula. I dont think ive come across a formula that dries this fast. It like, i put it on ill, try to insert a clip, and i was trying to blend it in the inner corner and it just like would not budge because it dried down. So i had like a love hate relationship with the concealer because i feel like it can be a little bit tricky to work with if you have really dry under eyes or dry skin, and i dont usually go for thick formulas. If you watched my previous video youll, see that i mentioned for dry skin, in particular its best
to use thinner formulas, thin formulas can still be medium or full coverage, its just the consistency like the consistency, but then also, i love it, because it just has incredible. Incredible coverage ֠and it just gives you like that flawless flawless under eye look so enough.

Babbling start off with the skin tint. I have mine in the color medium and the consistency its like not going to go anywhere thats. This is what i mean by the consistency. Usually, you think skin tint, you think, okay, it will kind of like have like a it will kind of have like a drip to it. This one is super interesting, its not like anything. I have ever tried because it kind of like stays in place. Its almost like a moisturizer because its like its a thicker consistency, but not crazy thick, but yet it still feels super light on the skin. I think everyone applies their makeup products differently, im just going to go ahead and dab some. Let me go ahead and blend it in and show you guys. The finish blends is super easy. I love how it blends it blends like a dream and for being a thicker type. Consistency im, actually surprised that it blends so well, so i feel like she did. A good job with this formula, okay, i went ahead and blended it in there were some spots where i had a little bit too much, so i dont
think you need this much with the skin tint, because this is a skin tint kind of like build your Way up so one thing that ive noticed with these two products is that they work better if you build them up versus kind of like slapping on a lot at once.

But this is the finish. I think it adds like a beautiful glow to the skin. It has really good coverage, it would be perfect for summer time it does have a little bit of a tackiness to it. I it could probably move around. I havent really done like a wear test, so i probably would set it, but then again, i also have really hydrated skin, underneath so im, not sure if its the skincare or the skin tint but love the finish it doesnt. Like exaggerate for me personally, it doesnt exaggerate my pores, you cant overdo it. If you apply too much where it can start to get cakey, i have a lot of dryness in the nose and if i apply too much, it does start to get cakey and then it doesnt really like settle into the fine lines. It just adds like a very nice, even canvas, but now going into the concealer concealer. I have shade fair light, yellow and when i say a little bit goes a long way. I mean a little bit goes a long way kind of like that. It cosmetics, bye, bye under eye a little bit goes a long way literally like a dab,
elmers glow, elmers glow, just a little drop will do anybody elses art teacher do that in elementary school, because you know us kids love playing with that glue using way too Much than we need im going to use my brush for this because look at that coverage, it is insane insane and this formula in particular, im not usually crazy on thick formulas, because they can just be so drying on my skin.

I definitely see myself reaching for this if im going out or if i am like filming a video, and i want a ton of coverage, look at how much it brightened the the under eye, the under eye. It is super super super full coverage. I would just say be very, very careful because this stuff, at least in my experience, can just get depending on how you apply it and how you like. If i were to use my beauty sponge, it would just break up and cake up and get that cakiness to it. But when i use something like this and just gently kind of buff it in, i noticed it, gave me more of a smoother look, and this is just the tiniest like three little dots. I think this is great coverage. Just be wary: if you have like dryer type skin, or you find that you have issues with thicker type consistencies, but im gon na go ahead and do the rest of my makeup spray, my face with the new covergirl clean, fresh uh. It has cactus water in it as well hydrating mist right here. It says vitamin c and rose and i usually do not like rose products
roast smelly products at all whatsoever. But this one has like the most subtle smell of rose. It almost doesnt even smell, like rose, it has a floral scent to it, and i love the mist. It has a very fine mist. It has like a fresh ver, all the products that they did have a very similar smell, so its not too overpowering.

It has like a bit of a floral type smell to it, though, so again, keep that in mind. We do the rest of my makeup and then ill see you guys, probably at the end of the day, all right so before the sun sets and it gets too dark im about to make some dinner. I thought i would do like a final check in and i would say it wore well um. Even in the beginning, the eye area was a little bit cakey its just because its such a heavy formula, but it did wear well like im, not gon na lie. The only thing is that my bronzer is acting kind of funky. This is like my favorite bronzer, lawless bronzer, and i usually dont get this issue so im not sure whats going on, but otherwise it did not settle into. My fine lines did not settle into my smile lines, so it wore well from my experience. This is my second time i wore it yesterday and today and both times its more well. They just both seem like finicky products, the skin tint. I, like my final thoughts, are i like. I will use it up the concealer. I would honestly probably return.
I love the coverage. I love the coverage that it gives its just im, not crazy about like thick formulas. They can be so finicky to work with and if a product is that finicky and i have to work that hard to make it look that good.

I feel like its just not worth it. Although the coverage is phenomenal, so its like a hit or miss, i guess you either love it or you hate it. It doesnt seem to have the best reviews on ulta but everybodys different everybodys. Looking for something different, like i said, my sister in law tried the concealer. She said she loved it. She has like normal combination skin. I think so. It just depends. Those are my final thoughts at the end of the day, theyre just my opinions and everybodys different in this world and everybodys looking for something different, so just thought i would share give this video a thumbs up.
