Iҭ a 20 year RN doing my first travel nurse assignment, using AYA. Just finished my first week and I get an ӵrgentԠemail from my recruiter saying the facility is doing a compensation adjustment that will lower my contract by about $1000.00 a week for the duration of the contract. Seems like the old con man tactic of the bait & switch to me. They got me here & I have housing set up. Over half the RNҳ on my floor at travel nurses. In your opinion, is this the travel company or the hospital doing the bait & switch? Is this a common occurrence across travel nursing and/or hospitals right now? Is it seasonal? Just want to know for for future reference. Any comments/ advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
